The office and private dining room of the Czech Prime MinisterModernista designed and produced the furniture for the Prime Minister's office in a contemporary style with Art Deco style veneer work. For comfort and modern feel we opted for Charles Eames chairs for the conference table as well as the desk. The private dining room is furnished with our own reproductions of Jindrich Halabala designed pieces which we produced exclusively for this commission in an exquisite maple veneer. |

The Icon Hotel – PragueThe Icon hotel is the latest arrival on the Prague boutique hotel scene. Modernista supplied all the furniture – a rich mixture of our existing lines of Jindrich Halabala armchairs and sofas, a rare vintage conference table from the offices of the legendary Bata shoe company in Zlin and custom made furniture designed by the architectural studio Mitte which was in charge of the Icon's overall design. www.hotelicon.eu |

Jet Set – Restaurant / Cafe / BarWorking closely with the owners and the architects, Modernista supplied all the furniture for this super-cool establishment in a new development in Prague 5 – Smichov. The cafe and bar areas are furnished with in-house designed, custom-made sofas, armchairs and coffee tables, inspired by the sleek looks of 1930s modernism. In the restaurant we used custom-made dining tables and our own re-issues of Jindrich Halabala armchairs, originally designed in 1931. |

The registry office of Prague's Old Town HallPrague's Old Town Hall is not only home to the famous Prague astrological clock but also to the registry office where church-shy romantics tie the knot. The office has recently been remodelled by Prague architect Marek Houska who achieved a brilliant result by mixing Modernista's re-issue chairs and armchairs originally designed by Vlastislav Hofman in 1911 with contemporary furniture and lighting. |

The Martin Fric villaThe most popular Czech film director of the interwar period – Martin Fric – had this house designed in 1935 by Ladislav Zak, the leading architect of the functionalist movement. With its stunning, ship-like structure, the house occupies a place of honour in the history of Czech modernist architecture. Until its recent sale and subsequent refurbishment , it was occupied by Fric's elderly daughter who managed to preserve all the original furniture and lighting designed by Josef Hesoun – another top architect of the 1930s.It was Modernista's restorers' task to give the much-used 70 year old furniture and lighting fixtures the look they had when they were new. The pictures show the house with the restored original furniture and lighting only, before the new occupiers added their own furnishings and art. |

Hotel U tri korunek – PragueThe owners of the hotel U tri korunek in Prague's Zizkov neighbourhood invited Modernista and the architect Pantelis Larcou to give the 1930s building they were adding to their hotel a boutique Modernist feel. The architect used wood paneling and flooring and glass partitions to create a contemporary background which makes our furniture stand out wonderfully. The resulting impression is stylish and sleek without being cold. |
