From the start, wooden toys were among the core articles of the Artěl cooperative. The most popular toy is the little devil made for the traditional Prague Christmas markets. The toy has a door that opens and also serves as a box for candy. Its author is Václav Špála, who designed a whole set of distinctive toys — peacocks, a hen, and a rabbit. Reproductions of originals held at the Museum of Decorative Arts in Prague (UPM).
