Another of the designs by architect Pavel Janák: "... wedges, arrows, stakes, knives, levers, which physically overpower the mass, are mostly inclined surfaces." The author is one of the creators of the world's unique Czech cubism, which widely applied the cubism of French art to Czech architecture and applied art. Architect Janák saw the inclined surface as an element to control, artistically transform and spiritualize dead matter; to disturb the calm and rational balance of horizontals and verticals.
