Dolce Vita

The first-republican premises of the Czech National Bank passage come alive with Czech design. In the autumn of 2016, the Passage of Czech Design project was launched here, mirroring the work of famous and emerging designers. Unique works are presented to the general public in the centre of Prague. The exhibition space operates in the manner of POP-UP stores, where the sale of the presented products is provided by the e-shop of each of the exhibitors. The arcade also hosts various events focused on design - workshops, competitions or press conferences. One of the exhibited pieces of furniture is an authorized replica of the H 275 chair by Jindřich Halabala. It was put into production by Modernista (holder of the exclusive licence to produce and sell replicas of Jindřich Halabala's work). The elegant armchair with wooden sides was not produced in large series and is therefore very rare to find in its original condition. It ideally combines both aesthetic and practical needs.
