The reconstruction of the functionalist apartment with many original elements consisted mainly of a sensitive restoration and renovation of the preserved elements and cleaning the space of any unfinished interventions and surfaces with the intention of preserving as much authenticity as possible. The apartment is located on the 5th floor of a six-storey building on the corner of Anglická/Londýnská Street in the conservation area of the capital. Prague. The house was built in 1938 according to the design of architects J. Kittrich and J. Hruby. All valuable elements have been preserved in the apartment. The modifications to the tenement in the functionalist building in Prague's Vinohrady district, which was designed by the Petráš brothers in 1932, continue its characteristic rounded shaping (steamer corners, arched partitions, fabions) and develop this motif further. The layout is adapted to contemporary requirements. The original layout with a large hallway, a small pass-through living room and a separate kitchen has been replaced by a more spacious 3 + kk layout with ample storage space. The surviving original elements (doors with frames, fittings and fillings, cast-iron heating elements or glass tiles) were then retained, refurbished and supplemented with new ones (glass mosaic tiles, ceramic switches, built-in furniture, light fittings), which relate in their colour, finish and materials to the period of the house. The Flora Residence is a functionalist corner house set in the prestigious location of Královské Vinohrady. The building was built in 1936 by architect Jaroslav Vančura. Modernista company furnished a model apartment on the sixth floor.

The whole house is designed as a flowing space, both by incorporating the building into the relatively steep slope, as well as the mutual transitions between the individual floors, rooms and its connection with nature. Throughout the building, the boundaries between interior and exterior are denied, yet the interior of the house has a solid and clearly defined order. One of the four model lofts in Prague's Vanguard project, which will offer 150 lofts in a former aircraft factory when it is completed next year, was designed by Prague-based studio Skull. They have transformed the interior from a shell & core state into a combination of modernism, futurism and functionalism. The vast majority of the apartment is open plan. An interesting feature is the rounded kitchen or the freestanding bathtub between the sofa and the bed. Modernist added a unique two-tone chaise longue designed by Adolf Loos, tubular dining chairs, an aerial armchair with footstool and an original tubular couch dressed in luxurious Sorensen leather. The design of the penthouse VNG 903 - Globetrotter is a fusion of (post)industrial architecture with the spirit of early 20th century modernism. The interior design is imbued with the spirit of an imaginary hero. A visionary. A time traveller. A globetrotter who follows the spiral of modernity with precise focus. But he does not live only in the past; he has the imagination and the means to co-create the shape of the future. The word "co-create" is the key to understanding the distribution of spatial functions. The large open space is the cornerstone of the definition of a loft. Movable walls and curtains allow for a flexible division of living zones without sacrificing the open airy and liberating dimension of the space. Modern futurism and functionalism are united by a fascination with clean lines energized by moving aerodynamic shapes and rounded corners.
