The H-79 chair was created by Jindřich Halabala in 1931 for UP plants. The chair was created together with several other very distinctively designed chairs and armchairs. This chair with seat and backrest woven with rattan is based on the principle of double cantilever, thanks to which it springs forward and backward. It thus provides its user with a very pleasant seating experience.

1903-1978

Legendary and timeless. That's Halabala, and that's his furniture. The spider, Halabala's table from the 1950s, decorating many a contemporary interior, is certainly an icon of its time. As the main designer, Halabala fundamentally influenced the activities and work of United UP factories, a company that was one of the most progressive and largest furniture factories in the then Czechoslovakia.
