She is a graduate of K.O.V. jewellery studio at the Academy of Arts Architecture and Design in Prague led by Eva Eisler. Nominated several times for the Czech Grand Design award, she is already well established among top young designers in her field often collaborating with leading Czech fashion designers. Even though most of Klara Sipkova’s work is rather minimalistic and based on clear forms, she is no stranger to complex geometrical shapes. In her designs she often employs hi-tech production methods while other times she stays true to her background of precise handcraft. Stainless steel and titanium are her favourite materials however in several designs she does not refrain from material experimentation – she is the first jeweller who use the highly workable hi-tech Barrisol foil in jewellery application.
